Chicken BBQ – April 4

Pre-Orders for the April 4 Chicken BBQ Fundraiser were amazing!
Only those that pre-ordered dinners should come through the drive-up between 10:30 am and 1 pm.
Pre-orders not picked up by 1 pm may be sold to another customer. If you did not pre-order, there may be dinners available to purchase after all pre-orders have been picked up.
Thank you so much for your support – the next Chicken BBQ will be April 25.

Chicken BBQ – March 28

We will hold our Chicken BBQ Fundraiser, Saturday, March 28, in compliance with the Stay At Home Order that was issued for York County.
– The Chicken BBQ dinners are boxed as carry out food ($8 half chicken, baked potato, roll and butter) and are picked up via our drive-up service in our parking lot starting at 10:30 am.
– Please do not come out if you are sick, feeling sick or have been in contact with someone who is sick.
– Please have exact change, if possible, to help minimize contact.
Information regarding the Stay At Home Order:
– Allowable Individual Activities: Getting necessary services or supplies for themselves or their family or household members, or to deliver those services or supplies to others, such as getting food and household consumer products, pet food, and supplies necessary to maintain the safety, sanitation, and essential operation of residences. This includes volunteer efforts to distribute meals and other life-sustaining services to those in need.
– Allowable Travel: Any travel related to the provision of or access to the above-mentioned individual activities or life sustaining business activities.
The VFW providing carry out food is considered a life-sustaining business activity and is exempt from this order.

4th Quarter Commander’s Message

Greetings to all VFW Comrades, Auxiliary, and Social members.

Our post is growing exponentially with on average 8 new members attending our orientation meeting every month. This and the fact that more members are also attending both the veterans and auxiliary meetings is a very positive sign. My hope is that we keep growing as a post and have fresh ideas that will propel us into the future. As always if you have an idea to make this post more enjoy-able for us all please let me know so we can discuss and try to implement.

You undoubtedly have witnessed another change to this post. We have installed a new lottery machine that lets you enjoy all the Pa lottery games as well as KENO! I hope many of you find this as a new convenience and challenge. Expect more changes in the very near future that will further enhance the post for your enjoyment.

Please keep in mind that Veteran and Auxiliary members can become life members if they’re currently annual. This benefits you by never having to remember to pay dues, and in the long run save you money, and your engraved name will be placed on our Life Member Board. Veteran members – the Post will pay $100 of your life membership.

With my next article coming after the first of the year, please be safe with the approaching winter weather. I never want to hear any member of this post being involved in an accident. Please have a safe and happy holiday season.

As always it is my honor and privilege to be your Post Commander.

Yours in Comradeship
Chuck Becker
Post Commander
